Electrochemical polishing is an anodic process intended to achieve the perfectly shining effect.
The final result of polishing substantially depends on composition and structure of the material to be treated. Best results are accomplished for pure, fine-grained metals and single-phase alloys of them. Contaminations and alloy components of aluminium significantly affect the material ability to reflect light from the finished metal surface. Initial mechanical preparation of the surface (grinding and polishing) is also the factor of crucial importance for the final appearance of metals. The anodic coating applied to the polished aluminium protects the surface against oxidation and deterioration of the shining effect.

Typical application areas for electrochemically polished aluminium :
Automotive industry, components of cosmetic packages, furniture accessories, shower cabins, reflectors of lamps and projectors.
